Let me start at the beginning. ...First, I am 68 years old, no spring chicken but no horse dray ready to be put out to pasture or sleep. On 22 March 2010, I weighed 265 pounds. My life was almost unbearable: I was taking infusion once a month for rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-and I was using inhalers and nebulizers daily for COPD, my sleep was sporadic at best, and I was stuck like a hamster on a wheel between eating and thinking of eating, eating and thinking about my next food "reward". I think if my life had not changed that day (because that day out for all the days of my life? I have no idea) if my life had not changed that day, I was destined to die a slow death and miserable, just as I had lived a miserable life, slow.

22 March was the day that I gave up on the day the worst part for me, the part of me died, self-destructive. Was that day I began a life-altering change in thought, nutrition and exercise that I gave life again, which led me to a better health than I enjoyed two decades ago and has restored my will, my confidence and my gratitude for the wonderful life we have available to us if we choose to live.

That day, after talking with Suzanne Somers, I committed to a complete overhaul of the way in which I lived. I started taking supplements to replace the invigorating and reinforce the elements that had been absent from my diet, I stopped eating whatever and whenever the pleasure and started to eat 5 small meals a day, and I started to walk to begin with, every day, at least one mile, as long as it took to complete. I got rid starches and carbohydrates that made me fat and lazy. Suspended, potatoes, rice, pasta and bread, that dear "love". Do not eat sweets, including ice cream that consumed by half gallon, if I bought I ate and candies and cookies that craved. And I don't have fallen. Eating meat, vegetables, salads, berries and more foods that I can call, and I don't spend afternoons and evenings partially asleep as my body struggles to digest the burden as those former meals consumed in a first time.

From a mile a day with three or four stops to pain and shortness of breath, I increased my exercise for more than three kilometres per day, has recently completed a walk of 10 km, 6.2 miles, at an average speed of four miles per hour, without stopping once. I'm not receiving infusions or do necessitate a nebulizer or inhaler. My doctors are excited; ask me what my secret. I tell them: Suzanne Somers.

In short, I have been reborn as a result of my efforts in implementing the suggestions so kindly and generously offered to me by Suzanne, the same general plan submitted in Sexy forever. What is it worth changing to me? Beyond measure in dollars and cents. I hit the lottery. And, if you're willing to make a commitment to your life and better health, you can, too.

Oh, by the way, for my birthday in November, I weighed 185 pounds. 81 pounds in 8 months. And I repeat that the weight today. My commitment is firm.

If you're trying to decide whether to purchase this book, buy it. Just might save your life.

I enjoy books of Suzanne and have read it. The information is spot-on with her interviews experts in their fields. This book seems to be a rehash of many of the books, while Brenda Watson (GI) is new to the list. If you have never read any books by Suzanne, then this will surely help; If you have, probably not. help other customers find the most useful reviews This review was helpful?
